Maulichya Daari
The story
One of the world's oldest pilgrimages walks past us every monsoon. We decided to give the road something back.
Every year, lakhs of warkaris walk hundreds of kilometres to Pandharpur, following the palkhi of Sant Dnyaneshwar Mauli and Sant Tukaram Maharaj. The same routes. The same devotion. For seven centuries.
Maulichya Daari — “at Mauli’s doorstep” — gives back to that path. Along the palkhi marg, we plant native, climate-resilient trees, so the road that has carried generations of pilgrims now offers them shade in the heat, fruit on the branch, and birdsong overhead.
No imported ornamentals. No monoculture. Only trees this soil already knows — and that the next drought won’t break.
These are slow gifts. A Vad or Pimpal planted this season will shade a warkari's grandchild. That's exactly the point — your support today is care that compounds for generations.
We're not decorating a roadside. We're rebuilding a living corridor of native biodiversity along Maharashtra's most sacred walk.
